not gonna lie, this was probably my least favorite set that ive ever built, and probably one of the lego sets i regret buying the most. the building for this was absolute hell, not just the repetiveness, but also the structural integrity was GARBAGE, i had to redo the final steps of putting it togheter so many times i just duct taped it togheter. yeah, its impressive when done but if i barely press it or try to spin it the whole thing feels like its about to fall apart

I think the car mode looks pretty great with the "imperfections". Kinda down and dirty. Texture adds to it, imo.

I'll wait for @ransom_fern to make a MOC of this set. He killed it with the Optimus Prime(IDW) and Optimus Prime(BB movie) MOCs he made.

Maybe I m wrong but the moc built with Porsche pieces looks better than this..the price is ridiculous... With the same money you can buy the moc i told and a die cast model 1:24 or 1/18 that of course looks 1000x better.

This set kinda looks like a mess. As both a big Transformers and LEGO fan, this set is a miss. If the end result is essentially a parts former(something that doesn't drive me nuts like many)....then just reverse engineer the Earthrise Bumblebee.

This one is really a letdown

I picked up a China replica for 40 bucks. Looks exactly the same and the pieces fit great. They even had some other expansion sets to add on to the village like docks, ships and other buildings. Thanks Lego for everything,but even a "great" price of 129 isnt feasible for someone that wants to dabble into the hobby rather than dive right in. The other ones that are affordable just aren't challenging.

To be fair, those panels in the car mode is far cleaner than the likes of an actual hasbro transformers figure because it is much smaller and not much of an eye sort
